Coffee, Shoes, and Ramblings

I always hate this stuff. “Hi my name is Trixie, I like lifting weights and fireflies and I’m working for world peace.” I love coffee, chocolate, trying on shoes, long walks on the beach and Jazz. I like men with brains and a good sense of humor. If you quote me poetry, I’ll think you are after something but secretly like it.

Basically, I live in Central Arkansas, and I like it although I’d move for the right incentive. I am currently spending my time going on job interviews and trying to act excited about answering the same stupid questions. 

I believe that laughter is usually the best medicine. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt and I believe in second chances. I usually see both sides of an issue, which leads to both sides liking me or hating me. Fortunately I have enough sense of self not to take labels and petty drama personally. I think there is enough hate in the world and we should work harder on loving each other, and especially ourselves.

I’m single, have a teen-age son who recently decided to go live with his dad so I’m living alone for the first time, finding the joys of watching TV in my underwear and eating cereal for supper. I have a family that I love some days and want to bury in the swamp on others.

I’m one final paper away from a Master’s degree in Journalism and I’m working real hard to procrastinate that, but the recent realization that I need to job hunt has lit a fire under me to finish it.
